From yesterday’s evening we have problems with Windows Azure Management API, it is not working correctly. As a result, we can’t scale up our service and you can see ABBYY Cloud OCR SDK service slowdown. We are trying to fix this with the highest priority, but we are still waiting for Windows Azure team to fix the issue.

Our developers informed that they have found a workaround, and Cloud SDK is now running as fast as usual despite of the fact that MS Azure team still haven’t fixed the critical issue with Azure Management API. We were able to start additional copies of the service so adding additional processing resources to process all incoming tasks fast enough. Routing of the tasks among the service copies is done seamlessly for our customers.

Currently the service is processing a long queue of tasks received during the time when it was working with reduced processing capacity. In 1 – 1.5 hours the service will be working in a regular mode.

After the Azure Management API will be fixed, we’ll come back to the normal mode and this also will be done seamlessly for our customers.

Microsoft has reported that the issue with Management API was fixed, so ABBYY Cloud OCR SDK was switched to a normal processing mode. This change doesn't require any actions from our customers.
