Issue summary

Duration: March 7 2016 15:10 – March 7 2016 17:10 UTC

Scope: All users affected

Between 15:10 and 17:20 UTC on March 7th, 2016 Cloud OCR SDK was declining new tasks due to database performance degradation caused by unexpected usage pattern. Users submitting tasks during this period of time were getting error notifications.

As a temporary measure to improve the situation our engineers increased database service performance level. Right after this action the Service resumed accepting new tasks as usual.

Our team is investigating the root cause. Request to Microsoft Azure support is submitted as well to clarify if there were some hardware or software issues on their side that time.
